when displayswitcher application starts up, it can show its main ui window, or hide it why would you want to hide it? if you use displayswitcher infrequently and you don't want its user interface showing until you want to use displayswitcher if you use displayswitcher frequently, then you may want to leave displayswitcher's main ui window showing the main ui window will remember its last size and location so, you may position and size the displayswitcher window to a convenient place on your screen that is handy but out of the way use the toggle buttons in the settings ui to choose your preference for showing or hiding the displayswitcher window when it starts the window show/hide feature is the save as the hide to taskbar/dock button just automatically done for you when displayswitcher is started
