You may see a dialog similar to this when you run too many copies of a Nebula Software application, like DisplaySwitcher, and you exceed the limit of your license.

For example, the license that you purchase for DisplaySwitcher allows you to run up to 3 copies at the same time.  For example, you might be running it your Linux computer, your Mac computer, and your 1 of 2 Windows computers.  If you then tried to launch DisplaySwitcher on your second Windows computer, then you would see this error message.

To resolve this situation, then just go to one of your computers and quit DisplaySwitcher to free up one of the licensed copies.  For example, quit DisplaySwitcher on your Linux computer, then you would be able to run DisplaySwitcher on your second Windows computer.

Sometimes a license can get "stuck".  For example, maybe you used TaskManager to forcibly kill DisplaySwitcher and it was unable to free its license.  Or, maybe you had an OS crash or even DisplaySwitcher crashed and a license got stuck.

If you have stuck licenses, then the license server thinks you are still running those other DisplaySwitcher applications.  If you are not running any other DisplaySwitcher applications and the one you are trying to run is giving you the error above because you have crashed stuck license, then you just need to wait for the stuck license to time out.

In 24 hours, if a stuck license is not used again, then it gets automatically deleted.  So, if you just wait, then DisplaySwitcher will be able to run again after those stuck licenses get freed up.
